Mr. Afaq Ahmad is an experienced litigator whose practice

Mr. Afaq has been
practicing law for twenty years and handles all kinds of banking, rent,
property, corporate, civil and specific types of criminal litigation including
but not limited to white-collar crime as well as FIA / NAB proceedings etc.
He also practices on the constitutional side at the High Courts of
Pakistan.
With a core focus on banking matters, Mr. Afaq
has contested series of litigation in Banking Courts across Pakistan. He
specializes in representing clients and solving disputes pertaining to banking
matters.
Furthermore, he regularly appears before various
commissions/ tribunals for e.g. Securities & Exchange Commission of
Pakistan, Competition Commission of Pakistan etc. all over the country. Mr.
Afaq also regularly appears in various commercial arbitrations as well.
He also advises clients on the full
spectrum of employment and labour law issues. He has expertise in matters
ranging from due diligence; drafting employment contracts, HR policies and
handbooks; hiring and firing; restrictive covenants; share purchase schemes;
stock option plans; layoffs; employment redundancies; and employee transfers
and secondments.

Mr. Ansari has
extensive experience working on corporate and commercial matters who has acted
for major clients in relation to various transactions and mergers and
acquisitions, most notably in the banking and finance, pharmaceutical, media
and information technology, and telecommunications sectors.
Mr. Ansari
focuses on corporate advisory matters, including but not limited to foreign
investment, structuring, insurance law, banking and trade finance,
securitization, regulatory matters, corporate restructurings, manufacturing,
distribution, real estate and other commercial agreements and employment
related issues.
He has extensive
experience of drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, joint venture
agreements, acquisition agreements and implementation agreements. He also
regularly undertakes corporate due diligence reviews and takes responsibility
for the drafting of the consequent due diligence reports. He regularly advises clients on corporate
law, corporate governance and regulatory issues.
He also has
undertaken assignments specific to corporate finance, Islamic finance, project
finance, debt restructuring, real estate matters, sukuk transactions,
securitization transactions, issuance of TFCs, structured finance transactions,
legal audits, takeovers, commercial paper, shares, etc.
Mr. Ansari also has a keen
interest in contentious work and as a part of the Firm’s litigation team has
drafted briefs in relation to Banking, Civil, Aviation, Maritime, Agency
Commission, etc. disputes at the High Court level.
